1.       Difference of college in united states and in indonesia are in the first year of college. If in indonesia we can choose the majors we want this does not apply in america. In the first two years we have to follow the prerequisite course then in the third year choose the majors. Another difference is that education in america is more flexible than indonesia because it is easier to move majors.

2.       We frefer to set majors not at the begenning of the year and attend prerequisites courses like in the us. Because it is easier for us to determine the direction we want and so we do not choose the direction majors and more focus to organize the future.

3.       Because the salaryof ocean engineering is very high and job oppotunities are still many wide open and there are still many seas in indonesia that have not been utilized so we want to use them. Then we want to boast and please the parents because they want to see us as ocean engineering.

4.       We still have a lot to improve in the system of universities in indonesia such as the quality of education, the quality of educators, the ability of students, educational facilities are still lacking, especially the teachers who are still a little, the talents of students, and the ability of students, and the ability of students to speak.
